ABOUT US
PIT Stop Crashpads
Hi! We are Ty and Michelle. We are the managers and part-owners of PIT Stop Crashpads. We own the company with multiple members of our extended family, some of whom, including ourselves, are military families.
We have found ourselves in temporary living situations (3-6 months) for military training and assignments three different times. It’s difficult, especially with kids in tow. And some of our experiences were not very positive. Our aim is to help other families to have better experiences than we did.
Ty flew the C-130J, instructed in the T-6, and taught Pilot Instructor Training as some of his Air Force assignments before separating from active duty in early 2025. His career took our family to not just multiple states, but multiple countries. We thoroughly enjoyed it. He now directs a flight program back in his hometown in Eastern Washington, and we are thrilled to settle in and put down some roots.
Michelle is a stay-at-home mom who manages most of the ins and outs of PIT Stop Crashpads. She freelances as a certified User Experience (UX) Designer in her limited spare time. Our four kids keep us both very busy and generally happy.
